You're coping. You're simply denying the truth because of some nostalgia and game journos splurging all over that shit-game. It didn't reinvent the wheel by any means, TLOU was an average to below-the-belt narrative with decent, at best, gameplay and nothing else. People get overly emotional by "coming of age" and "redemption" stories so take that cock off of your ass and admit it, the game was not as good as you remember. Oh, why am I even bothering myself? I'm arguing with some kid named "lord shinobi", fucking naruto fans and their disgusting, rancid takes all over again.
Theres no "Game" Its just series of scenes. In visual novels you should at least add a few choices that change the story based on what you pick. (even if it means you not adding new scenes, but instead have it be a scenario where if you dont pick the right choice you dont continue w story. That way it feels a bit like a game and keeps me invested. Or else I just hit skip and watch the story rocket all the way through uninterested.)
